Rock Creek campus stakeholders make their “mark” at the column signing event

The spring rains held off for the 60 people who took part in the column signing event at Rock Creek  Campus on Friday, March 15.  The event drew campus and district stakeholders and project partners from opsis architecture and Fortis construction to commemorate the construction milestone.

The event is the campus version of a “topping out ceremony,” marking the completed installation of the steel cross beams that define the outline of the expanded Building 7.  One year from now, the college will be celebrating the building’s official grand opening.

PCC’s 2008 voter-approved $374 million bond program is increasing opportunities for residents to access quality, affordable higher education close to where they live and work. Additional classrooms, updated equipment and technology, and advanced workforce training programs are helping to pave the way for future employment options.
