31 new parking spaces come to life on PCC’s Cascade Campus

Cascade Parking lot 6 opening- Hoffman crew 2

PCC project management congratulates Raimore Construction for delivering Parking Lot 6 on time for the start of winter term at the Cascade Campus

One of two new surface parking lots opened in time for the start of the winter term at PCC’s Cascade Campus.  The new lot is part of an agreement with the City of Portland and area residents. The new lot will help reduce the number of PCC-related cars parking on neighborhood streets.

The new lot, identified as Parking Lot 6, brings 31 new parking spaces within the campus boundary and is outfitted with new lighting, security cameras and an emergency phone. In addition, the new lot has two landscaped bio swales to filter storm water on site, an abundance of shrubs and groundcover as well as a mix of Maple, Ash and Gingko trees. An additional lot, Parking Lot 7 to the west, is scheduled to open later this month.
