Beginning this summer and continuing over the next three years, two-thirds of the CC building at Sylvania Campus will be overhauled.The first phase of construction will impact the southeast corner of the building.

During excavation work at Southeast Center, crew members discovered an old hand-dug, brick-lined cistern with vintage glass bottles, a collection of horseshoes, a pick ax and an old metal cooking pan.

PCC purchased the former state of Oregon Motor Pool Facility at Swan Island in summer 2010, with a vision of creating a PCC Trades Education Center. Phase I of the project will include a capital construction investment of $3.4 million to remodel and expand the site.

Sixty people who took part in the steel column signing event at Rock Creek Campus hosted on March 15. One year from now, the college will be celebrating the building’s official grand opening.
